About us

We love our horses and enjoy them.  We aren’t in the horse business but will sure try to help anyone
find their horse if we can.

Our horses are multi-purpose.  We’re both such horse lovers and game for whatever we can do with
them.  They are always standing at the fence when we go out and push each other out of the way so
they get chosen to be ridden or whatever.  They are all loved, spoiled and repay us with so much
pleasure when we do things with them.  Dick and Nancy’s biggest pleasure is taking one of the
horses out to work pasture and let them do their thing.  We ask our horses for respect and give
same back.  We never ask them to do something we know that they can’t handle.  They are allowed
to have some fun time when we’re out riding but when it comes time to work, they are ready, willing,
able and want to do it for us.  What more could one ask?

Dick & Nancy met by chance in late 1996.  Neither were looking for anyone at that time but with so
much in common they were a perfect match.  It was fate.  Nancy moved back to Winnipeg March of ’
97 and they bought their 20 acres in Warren in July 1997, married, put up a Winkler Canvas building
because as anyone knows, riding in Manitoba is a challenge anytime of the year.  Their only regret is
that there isn’t enough property for some roping cattle; the arena should have been bigger. Their
training beliefs are the same and they really help keep each other on track with what their goals, etc.
are.

There have been a few bumps in the road – Mad Cow being a real biggy hitting right after buying 100
really good black cows and Nancy fighting breast cancer which doesn’t want to leave since being
diagnosed in 2004.  Life certainly couldn’t be easy could it?  How could we appreciate all the good
stuff the Lord provides without a few ups and downs?

Dick has always loved horses and wanted to rope.  Now he does.  He has 2 really good rope
horses, Snort (4 wheel drive extraordinaire,) Nick, who has really come on this past year (2006) and
his “blonde”, Atty.

Dick has achieved his dream of riding pasture on his own horse checking his own cows and roping
and doctoring same.

He is also recruited into stepping into the barrel racing saddle when necessary.

Dick is extremely knowledgeable in the latest cattle vaccination protocols, etc. as he is the owner of
Weiller & Williams (www.wwlivestockproducts.com) which carries a full line of cattle, horse, dog and
cat vaccines, supplements, handling equipment, 5 Star Equine Pads, Featherlite Trailers and so
much more.  He loves to talk so don’t hesitate to call and ask questions.

Dick had to get used to Rukker (a feat in itself as he has his quirks, the worst being Roodini & being
totally devoted to Nancy) German shepherd hair all about his house, complains once in awhile about
it, but loves the dogs as much as Nancy.  We think he loves the Boston terror even more.  The dogs
are such great companions and the house would not be a home without them.  So when visiting,
prepare for dog hair and toys underfoot.

Dick took an Allen Bach clinic and purchased a heel-0-matic which has become “the” roping training
aid in the arena to anyone willing to learn where they are supposed to be on a steer.  A Dennis Tryan
clinic really helped him hone his skills and he’s looking forward to the Clay Tryan clinic coming up.

Nancy has always been horse crazy and involved since a kid.  She was blessed with parents that
supported her addiction and now Dick supports her in her endeavors. Riding various english
disciplines, western, sidesaddle, driving, showing at breed and open shows, winning a 50 mile
endurance race, trail riding, etc.

Nancy’s biggest love, Dick, without him, Nancy couldn’t accomplish her dreams.  He is her dream
come true.  Besides being her husband, bestest friend, he’s her coach, groom, chief cook, driver.
Support.

Nancy hopes to get Loti started towards her CD.  The dog showing stuff comes after the horses but it
keeps Nancy in touch with old friends.  Rukker might get pulled out now and again for the Veteran’s
Obedience Class.  So much to do, so little time……..
